Apple mobile prices in Pakistan start from around Rs. 264,000 for the iPhone 16e and go up to Rs. 869,100 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB. Apple sells only in the premium segment here — there is no budget iPhone in Pakistan.

No iPhone is assembled in Pakistan. Every unit is imported fully built, so import duty, regulatory duty, sales tax and withholding tax sit on top of Apple's global price. That is the whole reason an iPhone costs 40–70% more here than in the US or UAE.

Apple's official channel runs through Mercantile, Apple's authorized distributor, which supplies Apple Authorized Resellers nationwide. There is no Apple retail store in Pakistan. Units from this channel are PTA approved with Apple's 12-month official warranty.

A listing far below these numbers is a non-PTA unit. That gap is not a discount — it is unpaid tax you will owe to use a SIM.

Which iPhone to Buy in Pakistan

The two picks that actually matter for most people: the iPhone 17 if you can afford it, because it starts at 256GB and iPhone storage is non-expandable; and a used iPhone 15 Pro if you cannot, because it is the oldest iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence — everything below it is cut off permanently.

Before buying the iPhone Air, confirm your network supports eSIM and that you are willing to convert. Jazz, Zong and Ufone 5G all support it, but conversion needs biometric CNIC verification. If you swap SIMs often or share the phone, the Air will annoy you daily regardless of how good the hardware is.

PTA Tax on iPhone in Pakistan

Buying locally from an authorized reseller? PTA tax is already in the price. It only applies when you bring an iPhone in yourself, receive one from abroad, or buy a non-PTA unit.

Tax is calculated by the FBR, not PTA, using an assigned customs value per model. It is identical across storage variants — a 256GB and a 1TB iPhone 17 Pro Max cost the same to register.

PTA Tax on Used iPhones Dropped Sharply in 2026

The FBR issued Valuation Ruling 2035/2026, effective 16 January 2026, cutting assigned customs values by 32–89% across 62 used and refurbished models — including iPhone 11 through 15, Galaxy S20–S23, Pixel 6–8 and OnePlus 9–12.

New iPhone 17 models are not covered by this ruling. So importing a used iPhone 15-series device is now far cheaper than in 2025, while importing a new flagship is as expensive as ever.

How to Pay PTA Tax

Dial *#06# for your IMEI, or SMS it to 8484 to check status. Go to dirbs, pick CNIC or passport, submit details, and get a PSID showing the exact amount. Pay via Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank transfer. Registration usually completes within 24 hours.

PTA Approved vs Non-PTA vs JV iPhones

Non-PTA hurts more than people expect because SMS banking and OTP codes need cellular service. JV units are worth avoiding entirely — their IMEIs are frequently blacklisted abroad, so there is no legal path to making them work.

Always check the IMEI yourself on the PTA portal before paying. Never accept a seller's screenshot — those are trivially faked, and a mismatched IMEI is the most common warning sign in this market.

5G, eSIM and iOS Support

5G in Pakistan

5G is live. PTA auctioned 480 MHz on 10 March 2026 for USD 507 million (Jazz 190 MHz, Ufone 180 MHz, Zong 110 MHz). Licenses were issued 19 March 2026, and Jazz and Zong switched on commercial 5G the same day — Jazz across roughly 180 sites in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan and Faisalabad. Coverage is urban and phased, not nationwide.

Every iPhone from the iPhone 12 onwards supports 5G, so this does not push you toward a newer model.

Operator change: Telenor Pakistan was merged into PTML on 1 July 2026 and now trades as Ufone 5G. Pakistan has three operators today — Jazz, Zong and Ufone 5G.

eSIM in Pakistan

All three operators support eSIM on prepaid and postpaid. Jazz has generally offered conversion free; Zong and Ufone typically charge around Rs. 2,000, sometimes free on first conversion. Activation needs biometric CNIC verification.

iOS 27 and Apple Intelligence

iOS 27 was announced at WWDC on 8 June 2026 and is expected mid-September 2026. Installing it is not the same as getting all its features.

iPhone 18 – When Is It Coming to Pakistan

Apple's event is confirmed for 9 September 2026, titled "Surprise and shine" — the first keynote under new CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on 1 September 2026.

Expected: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple's first foldable iPhone, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. Pre-orders around 12 September, global retail from 18 September.

Apple is splitting its release cycle for the first time. The standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 are not in this launch — reports place them in spring 2027. If you are waiting for a regular non-Pro iPhone 18, that is several months longer than usual.

Pakistani PTA-approved pricing normally lands a few weeks after global launch. Any iPhone 18 price listed here before then is an estimate. Expect iPhone 17 prices to soften once the 18 Pro arrives.

New or Used iPhone – What to Check

The January 2026 customs value cut made used iPhones far more viable. Combined with Apple's six-year-plus software support, a used iPhone 13, 14 or 15 is a current usable device, not an abandoned one.

Checking a Used iPhone

The real risk on used units is battery and repair history:

• Battery health under Settings → Battery → Battery Health. Below 85% means a replacement is due — roughly Rs. 12,000–15,000 at authorized centers.

• Non-genuine parts. iOS flags unknown components, and those repairs commonly cause Face ID or camera failures later.

• Find My iPhone must be signed out. A phone still linked to the previous owner's Apple ID is unusable.

• Test everything: Face ID, all cameras including ultra-wide, both speakers, charging port.

iPhone Resale Value in Pakistan

PTA status is the single biggest price factor, followed by battery health and storage. Storage matters more on iPhones than Android because there is no microSD slot — the resale gap between 128GB and 256GB is usually wider than the original price difference.

Warranty and Service in Pakistan

Apple gives a one-year limited warranty on units bought through the Mercantile reseller network. FutureTech operates as both Apple Authorized Reseller and Apple Authorized Service Provider, with stores and service centers in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad.

Grey-market units generally cannot be serviced through this channel — a real cost that never shows up in the price comparison. Keep your proof of purchase; warranty claims require it.

Trade-In and Installment Options

Mercantile and Jazz run Pakistan's first official iPhone trade-in program — exchange a PTA-approved iPhone 11 or newer and pay only the difference, at select Jazz Experience Centers in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Bank installment plans are available through authorized resellers.
