Digit covers a wider spread than most feature phone brands in Pakistan. At one end it sells some of the cheapest keypad phones on the market, starting from just Rs. 1,999. At the other, it offers Android-powered "touch and type" hybrids around Rs. 8,000–9,200 that genuinely run WhatsApp, YouTube, and Google Play.
That range makes Digit worth considering whether you want the bare minimum or a button phone that can actually do more.

The 4G Touch and Type Models

The Digit 4G Redone combines a physical keypad with a 2.8-inch touch screen, and runs on an Android base with Google Play Store access. That means it genuinely supports WhatsApp — including audio and video calling — along with Facebook, YouTube, and email.
Its hardware is closer to a small smartphone than a feature phone: 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (expandable to 32GB), a 3,000mAh battery, USB Type-C charging, WiFi with hotspot sharing, Bluetooth, GPS, and both front and rear cameras. It's PTA approved with a 1-year official brand warranty.
Reviewers particularly note its clear dual-SIM labelling and dedicated 4G status LED, which makes setup straightforward — a small detail, but genuinely helpful for less tech-confident users.
An Important Distinction
Standard keypad phones — including 4G ones from most brands — do not support video calling. They handle voice calls and SMS only.
Digit's touch-and-type models are different because they're Android-based rather than true feature phones. That's why the Redone can run WhatsApp video calls when a normal 4G keypad phone can't.
So if WhatsApp video calling is what you need, you want one of Digit's touch-and-type models specifically — not just any phone with "4G" in the name.
What to Check Before Buying
Verify PTA approval. Dial *#06# for the IMEI and check it on the PTA DIRBS portal before paying.
For 4G models, confirm VoLTE with your operator. Some networks still restrict VoLTE on certain connections, which affects 4G calling.
Check for vibration alert if you need it. Some Digit models have drawn complaints for lacking a vibration alert on missed calls — worth confirming in the shop if that matters to you.
Ask about the battery. Check the mAh figure and whether it's user-replaceable. Feature phone batteries usually need replacing after about two years, at roughly Rs. 300–600.
Buy factory-sealed with warranty. Repackaged units are a real risk in local markets, and warranty claims need a proper receipt.
